Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Best Meditation Scripts ("we," "us," "our"), operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, governing your access to and use of bestmeditationscripts.com and the scripts we sell (together, the "Service"). By accessing the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a script, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old, and have the authority to enter into this agreement, to use the Service.

1. Visitors and Account Holders

Anyone may browse the publicly available pages of our Service without creating an account. To download any script, including our free starter kit, you must create an account. We may decline to open, or may suspend, any account at our discretion — including where we believe these Terms have been violated.

2. What You're Buying: A License, Not Ownership

When you purchase a script, toolkit, or the Complete Library, you are purchasing a personal, non-transferable license to use that content in your own professional practice. You are not purchasing the copyright, and Best Meditation Scripts retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in every script.

Your license permits you to:

• Use the scripts with an unlimited number of your own clients, in sessions, courses, or programs
• Read, record, or perform the scripts yourself for your professional work
• Print or display the PDF for your own professional use

Your license does not permit you to:

• Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or repost the scripts — in original or modified form, in print or digital format, on another website, app, or platform
• Claim authorship of the scripts
• Share your account, downloaded files, or download links publicly or with other businesses

You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

3. Not Medical or Therapeutic Advice; No Guaranteed Results

The Service and all scripts are educational and wellness resources intended to support the professional practice of qualified therapists, coaches, and wellness practitioners. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, or advice, and are not suited for use with every client in every situation. You are solely responsible for exercising your own professional judgment in whether and how to use any script. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, result, or client response from using a script, and we do not assume liability for any outcome experienced by you or your clients in connection with using one.

4. Payments

All purchases are one-time payments, processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars unless stated otherwise. We may change our prices at any time; changes will not affect scripts you have already purchased.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to third-party websites, including our Stripe checkout page. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, security, or privacy practices of any third-party site. You use such sites at your own risk and should review their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service, though we will make reasonable efforts to preserve access to scripts you have already purchased.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all scripts are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Best Meditation Scripts will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or the scripts, including any outcome experienced by your clients. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Best Meditation Scripts harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

11. Events Beyond Our Control

We will not be responsible for any delay or failure in providing the Service resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including outages or failures of the third-party infrastructure we rely on (such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend, or Vercel), natural disasters, or other events of force majeure.

12. Electronic Communications

When you use the Service or email us, you are communicating with us electronically, and you consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that any notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

13. Assignment

Your account and license are personal to you and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to anyone else without our prior written permission. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, for example in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.

14. Data Scraping Prohibited

Automated scraping, data mining, or bulk copying of any content, listings, or information from the Service is strictly prohibited. Violating this section is grounds for immediate termination of your account without a refund.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe, in good faith, that you have violated these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

16. Resolving a Dispute

If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, please contact us first at hello@bestmeditationscripts.com — we genuinely want the chance to make things right. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be governed by the laws described below.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any legal action will take place in the courts of Alberta.

18. Entire Agreement; Severability

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
